Gill Mahoney - Gill is married to David and has lived in the local area all her life and has resided in Sedgebrook for 48 years. She has raised three children who were all schooled in Grantham and went on to University and are all now young professionals. After leaving school she attended Grantham College for Further Education, gaining secretarial qualifications. She worked in the Midland Bank Ltd (now HSBC) in Grantham, for 14 years until she left to have her family. She was Treasurer on the PTFA at her childrens' primary school, and she was also Secretary for the King's School Rugby Club, whilst her boys were at the school. Gill is now a retired Swimming Teacher having taught swimming at The Grantham Meres Leisure Centre for 22 years. Her interests are her family, golf, swimming, playing the piano and singing. Her role is looking after the Recreation Field.
Christine Warby - Having moved to Sedgebrook at the end of 1999, I was soon made welcome by the other mums who put their children on the school bus to Allington. I am the office administrator at our local primary school, a role which involves budget setting, reporting to governors and generally trying to keep everyone, but most importantly the children, happy.I have served on the Social Club Committee and am always willing to lend a hand where needed at village events. I enjoy cooking, quizzes and walking our dog. I am passionate about the environment and can regularly be seen picking litter, a particular bugbear of mine, on the roads on the outskirts of Sedgebrook.
Clive Wood - Clive has lived in the village since 1992 and is perhaps best known by residents as ‘that guy on the bike’.
Whether a life-long involvement in cycling as both a sport and latterly a leisure activity led to his work in a local Highway Authority is open to some debate but much of his working life has been involved in everything from inspecting road conditions and the works that are carried out on them through to developing policies and procedures that govern highway maintenance and network management.
Clive did spend a year on secondment to the Department for Transport providing support on developing new highway legislation which was a good insight into the World of national government as well as the state of the catering facilities in Parliament!
Clive has also been involved in a number of national highway bodies and has given presentations at a number of national and local conferences and training courses. He has also spent time working in private industry including road haulage operations as well as in construction.
Jane Denton - I have lived in Sedgebrook for 24 years moving up here from the south because of my husband's job. I am married with one son who works for a London based company. My husband has been retired for several years.
I worked for Lloyds Bank for many years before leaving to bring up our son. I retired, at the end of 2020, having been a Headteacher’s PA in a local Independent Primary School for many years. Having got a puppy early in 2021, which has kept me occupied, I enjoy reading, cooking and various craft activities. I have been involved in various school PTAs and other committees, fulfilling various roles, over the years.
